High Falls District

In the High Falls district, a visitor can explore the Browns Race Historic District to see buildings from Rochester's past industries. Some structures of interesting include the Button Factory Building, the Brown's Race, the Kodak Tower, the Triphammer Forge Site, and Frontier Field. The Pont de Rennes Pedestrian Bridge will provide a great view of the High Falls. The falls drop 96 feet into a gorge which has the remains of industrial mills on the sides. Across the bridge is the The High Falls Brewing Company where there is a little museum showing the history of the manufacturing of Genesee Beer. There is a restaurant on top of the museum and a place to get samples of beers in the museum.

The High Falls was where the 19th century daredevil, Samuel Patch, jumped to his death in front of 8000 spectators.
